I think I've asked this before, but I did do a new reinstall of my system

When downloading only the firewall, what do I set it to so that any program that tries to auto-update itself, COMODO catches it trying to “access the internet” and then I have the option to accept/block, etc, etc…

Open Firewall Behaviour Settings and move the slider from Safe Mode to Custom Policy Mode. Also make sure you uncheck the box ‘Create rules for safe applications’ and ‘Do not show popup alerts’. If you want more detail in the rules created, increase the Alert Frequency setting on the next tab.
