Finished!

I also downloaded microsofts malware removal tool and still nothing. Just decided to try it!

I really need help. I have been running in safe mode with networking but I am now on my laptop. I have been doing this all day long just tryin to find some help. My norton antivirus is out of date and I have no protection at the moment. anybody got answers they can share with me? it would be greatly appreciated.

First download the Dr. Web live cd http://www.freedrweb.com/livecd/ , burn it and run it on the computer, fix/remove anything it finds.

Once that is done, restart into normal mode, download malwarebytes and superantispyware and run both of those and remove anything they find.

Finally download Microsoft Security Essentials http://www.softpedia.com/progDownload/Microsoft-Security-Essentials-Download-131683.html and run the AV leaving everything at stock settings and apply anything it recommends. Let me know where you are then.

Its a FAKE Antivirus. But now that you have downloaded it, it is most likely download other malware so follow what languy99 said and you should be good.

thanks for the reply. im not too literate on these subjects but it seems easy enuff. if i have problems can i count on your help again?

You can count on both of us and other users.

If you didn’t get rid of it yet there are detailed instructions for removing it with Malwarebytes here:
