I need help changing my search engine to Google

Hi everyone. I was having problems with Comodo IceDragon not working with Google several days ago and I ended up uninstalling and reinstalling IceDragon in an effort to get it working again. Well, now it has somehow reverted to having Good Search as my default search engine which I don’t want. I want it to be Google. I followed the directions on the help page which tells you how to change your search engine but to no avail. It refuses to let me change the search engine to Google. Any help would be appreciated.

I am using Comodo IceDragon 20.0.1.14 on Windows 7 64 bit with all Windows updates installed just so you know.

Hi AveMaria02,
In the right hand side of the address bar there should be a little drop down arrow (Screenshot), this will let you select and manage your search engines.

If you’re seeing ‘good-search’ as your search engine, your browser may have been high-jacked. As such, it’s probably worth checking to make sure you haven’t had ‘search.conduit’ installed.

Thanks! That fixed it. I had noticed the Good Search icon in that place but I had no idea why it was even there until now.

Hi AveMaria02,
As Radaghast is suggesting, the good search ‘search engine’ is not a default search engine in CID.
Unwanted search engines can be removed from CID through Manage Search Engines.
This has to have been added manually or as a tag along with another program.
Also check your Programs and Features for any unknown programs that could be related to this search engine.
Do not uninstall any programs if you have any doubt about what you are uninstalling, without checking or researching first.
