Could you tell me what is “except MAC address based filtering” ?

Hi Zeus. WithMAC address filtering, any wireless client can join a Wi Fi network if they know the network name or encryption keys. When MAC address filtering is on the access point does an extra checks on other parameters and the more checks , the better to try and prevent a break in on the network. So basically you can control client access. The downside, it’s not THAT safe, someone can “sniff” out the MAC addy and gain access. Extra security as mentioned is a must.

It means instead of using IP addresses, you will be able to specify MAC addresses in the network monitor rules.
