hi!
good day to all!
I would like to raise a question regarding this website - see title(pls bear with me.I’m a novice user of comodo firewall and actually I dont have sufficient knowledge regarding this firewall thing)
am I right to think that with comodo firewall set to active(no other settings or button that I click or changed so I think this is still in the default mode) whenever I surf the internet I am under “STEALTH” mode?Iam I right or wrong regarding this?
because when i browsed the net with this website(Проверка прокси и приватности - Holmes/Who on Leader.Ru - When security matters ...) the following items where registered(see below)

NOTE:
I erased some parts because one of my friend NOT to show this in any online forum

is this normal that these items are shown when i browse the internet although Im behind a firewall?
because my friend informed me that this is not normal, that is why Im hoping that you would shed some light regarding this issue.

thank you in advance.
cheers!

This is a browser thing and how it works, don’t worry. Well, your friend isn’t too expert (i guess this part of the IT isn’t his job). You can bypass most of the infos by useing proxies, by disabling script (disable scripts in the browser and reload the page after you delete the temp files) usage or editing infos at your own registry. You can even send fake infos for the servers. Trace is simple thing nowdays from web servers (you were able earlier in DOS - and now as well -to run tracert.exe from your computer), finding out the other internet service provider info only need a so-called whois (fe. asking infos from whois.ripe.net, or internic, etc.).

thank you for your reply.
so it means there is no need to worry, huh?
I just thought that having a firewall means surfing the net in stealth mode-so i was wrong.
thank you for your information and help.
cheers!

There is a difference between stealth mode and anonymous surfing which I think you’re referring to.

Adjust your headers and whatever with Proxomitron

Be sure to have Java disabled in all your browsers
Install libraries for https also
Configure it safe ( see info online )
This should take care of your browser info

More surfing info hiding:
Install Tor with Proxomitron ( or configure Privoxy included in Tor )
http://tor.eff.org/ or ■■■ - ■■■ -- ANONYMITY & PRIVACY
Even your country origin is hidden but due to proxy surfing it will be slower.

But thats not (the/a) issue here - there’s a lot of info on these topics

A quick and simple way to surf anonymously, with no configuration is to download Torpark.
