HP Wireless Mouse

I have got HP Wireless Mouse & a USB thing for it. I have attached the USB thing & it said installed successfully, the batteries in the mouse is fine, there is a on - off thing in the mouse which is on, but the mouse is not working, nothing is happening. Any help?

May be you forgot to install the drivers…

How would I know if the driver is installed or not?

Your mouse should have come with a driver disk. If not, try the HP site.

Drivers are likely “plug n play” are there any lights coming on in the mouse to show that the mouse is on and working?

Did you put the battery in correctly?

I didn’t got any CD. Will try in the evening & post here.

Found the disc for mouse & its working fine now. But when I try to open HP Comfort Mouse from start menu it says Comfort mouse not detected. There is an entry in the msconfig - startup - xdaemon.exe related to comfort mouse. Can I disable it safely?

Can you see if some of the HP Comfort Mourse related executables get sandboxed?
