How to stop an automatic update in progress?

I’ve never had to do this before but I’ve got this PC on a slow connection and can’t wait all day for the update.
Is a restart the only way?

…probably should have mentioned that I did try unchecking ‘Enable’ in ‘Preferences’ - ‘Update’, but this doesn’t stop the update in progress. A ‘Cancel’ button is really whay I’m looking for.

a quick work around is to click on “stop all traffic” in comodo main window or selectively block cmdagent.exe in Firewall Active Connections list.

I didn’t know about the “Stop All Traffic” button myself and will try that next time. @pc_pete I have requested this behavior be changed in the Wishlist area; CIS should at the very least give us the option of a pop-up “gonna connect now and dl a monster file–OK?”. It’s sorta nasty when I update my PCs and CIS always wants to download that big base.cav from scratch every time. Maybe the Beta works differently though, I’ve not tried it.

It is better “stop/continue” button to be added the update window.
