I would like to set firewall so that when I start a new allpication which try to connect to Internet Comodo asks me to allow/deny this online activity?
Did you try to set the firewall security level to custom policy.
ok, I set it to custom policy but no asking about if new programms should connect to Internet >:(
I WOULD LIKE TO BE INFORMED BY COMODO WHEN EVERY ALLPLICATION TRYS TO CONNECT TO INTERNET.
HOW TO GET THAT?
It can not be so difficult to set the firewall to do this >:( There are so many settings in Comodo which are unclear what they bring and how the work.
- when installing you are asked about optimum and maximum security
- there are 3 configurations: internet, proactive and firewall security
How to test if the firewall is working properly and if it is working at all?
If I uninstall Comodo, and then install it again, it should then be with default settings, right? And no rules should be existing?
Then I set firewall to custom policy.
Will this help me to be asked by Comodo when programms try to connect to Internet.
Do I have to do this AGAIN?
Hello cska133. Instead of doing a clean installation try importing a clean configuration from under More → Manage My Configurations. The clean configs can be found in the CIS installation folder.
When importing it give it an appropriate name.
Let us know how things go.
and which of the .cfgx files do I have to use?
COMODO - Firewall Security.cfgx
COMODO - Proactive Security.cfgx
COMODO - Internet Security.cfgx
EricJH, which clean config to choose?
Choose the one you are currently using and import with a different name. Something like Internet Security New for example.
