how to remove 'ip/dns data' icon top-right hand side of Chromodo 50.14

Chromodo upgrated to 50.14.22.68

Soon after the upgrade, new blue icon seen attached to the browser.

No option in settings can be found to remove it. I don’t need Chromodo to check IP or DNS leak.

look forward to answers from Comodo’s official support team.

Hi ininfkf,

Right click on the icon and select “Hide in Chromodo menu”

Hope this helps.

Shane.

Doesn’t work for me when right click on the icon. Not options under extension options either.

Hi Top_Cat,
Same here, I have no right click options either.

If you want to totally remove the extension, see the instructions below.

  1. Close Dragon.

  2. Remove the ‘ip_dns_leakage_detector’ folder and contents from the following location.
    C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Comodo\Dragon\User Data\Components

  3. Remove or rename the ‘ip_dns_leakage_detector.crx’ file from the following location.
    64-bit: C:\Program Files (x86)\Comodo\Dragon\extensions
    32-bit: C:\Program Files\COMODO\Dragon\extensions

  4. Open Dragon.

Kind regards.

both renamed to .___
but icon still in menu bar

now removed all files from both localizations but icon still in icon bar

Hi zlotowinfo,
I am not sure why it is not solving the issue for you.
I have just renamed the ‘.crx’ file and the ‘ip_dns_leakage_detector’ folder in the locations I previously mentioned and the icon disappears. ???

Kind regards.

Hasn’t worked for me either when I renamed the file.

Correction: it has worked for me after renaming the ip_dns_leakage_detector folder under c>user>appdata>local>comodo>chromodo>components

Hi Top_Cat,
Good to hear it has now worked for you. :-TU
The path may vary depending on the system and also obviously for Chromodo or Dragon.

Thanks for posting back.
