The menu item “Tools → Check for Update…” is used to update program, how can i update virus database?
Virus database is automatically updated when you open CCE but you can’t see this process.
Also, when you proceed to scan it will be updated.
Thank you. But it said “Integration with Comodo cloud scanners provides real-time safety verdicts for unknown processes”, I can’t see the it.
Or you can import the database from CIS under Tools → Import Virus Database f.e. if you have CIS installed or bring it from another machine on a USB stick.
I WAS interested in; and downloaded, your Free Scanner, to evaluate comodo av before purchase.
Are you telling us that this “program” runs a hidden process, probably with administrative rights, and calls home to Comodo every time you run the software, and allows YOU to install and update whatever you want ( Administrative Rights ) ?
Then I have a question. what is the difference between a trojan, worm, etc et al, and your software.
Other people may fall for this, but no thank you.
To the other that read this, If you install this, you may as well install Any and all of the virii, trojans, and SPYWARE, on purpose, because that is what you are doing installing this. Just because a corporation is doing it, it is OK ?
Good luck with that.
Are you talking about Comodo Internet Suite or Comodo Cleaning Essentials? Both of them will download av definitions with default settings and also depend on cloud. CIS with default settings will also check for program updates

Just because a corporation is doing it, it is OK ?Do you have any proof for that or is that what you believe without the need for corroboration?Good luck with that.
