How to Create Shortcut in Secure Shopping

Is it possible to create a program shortcut in taskbar in the Secure Shopping environment?

Currently, I run explorer and navigate to the program directory to execute the program. I wish to create the program shortcut in the taskbar to speedup my work.

Here’s a stupid idea. You could work-around it by running trough browser

Secure Shopping Environment
“C:\Program Files (x86)\COMODO\COMODO Secure Shopping\vdcss.exe” -r “https://forums.comodo.com/-di

Secure Browser
“C:\Program Files (x86)\COMODO\COMODO Secure Shopping\vdcss.exe” -r “https://forums.comodo.com/

in your case, website address should redirect to a file. Now, the problem is how to run the file as browsers do not allow it, normally.
It’s probably possible with Internet Explorer and/or browser extensions.

Hope it helps.

Haven’t tried it in IE as I rarely use that, but you can certainly do it with Firefox with as many favourites / bookmarks as you want

Reading it again, now. I possibly misunderstood what OP really wanted. Oh well. Sorry about that.

I’m currently using a dirty method by placing the program shortcut in IE’s favorite bar.

I’ve also tried the above method in Firefox but it did not run the executable file and prompted some error message.

This may be what you’re looking for in Firefox: https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/external-application-button/

And similar for IE: Adding Toolbar Buttons (Internet Explorer) | Microsoft Learn

Looks interesting. I may try the Firefox addon. (though placing program shortcut in IE’s favorite bar is simpler)
Thanks

On second thought, if I remember correctly, what you asked for is not officially supported. Virtual Desktop does not have such functionality either. (eg placing shortcuts on taskbar)

Not a bad idea. You should create a wish.
