I’ve rencently installed comodo on a windows 2000 server box, this server has 3 network printer shares… since installing comodo, our staff is unable to connect to the shared printers.
Can anyone point me in the right direction? I’m sure there’s a service that needs to be added to the firewall, or port… but I’ve gone through all I can think of. Any assistance would be great. Thanks.
In every computer that has CFP installed, go to Security/Tasks/Add a Zone. Give it a name, and set the IP range to include your network; it should default to the entire subnet, which is probably good unless each computer has a static IP on the network.
Having done that, go to Security/Tasks/Define a New Trusted Network. Use the Zone you just added.
This will add two rules to the top of Network Monitor (positions ID 0 & 1). The 1st will Allow IP Out from Any to Zone; the 2nd will Allow IP In from Zone to Any. This will enable unhindered communication between resources across your network, and should resolve your shared printer issue.
