Hi, I’ve been using Comodo Free version for a few weeks now and it is very thorough.
But I would like to change a setting I made on installation, but I can’t remember what it was.
I was asked (something like) if I wanted to route my internet connections off the Comodo servers, and I selected ‘yes’, but want to change it back to normal and I can’t find the setting anywhere or what setting to look for. ‘Citrix Access Gateway’ maybe?
If someone could tell me what I selected or how to turn it off I’d much appreciate it!
You’re probably thinking about Comodo’s DNS servers, which is given as an option during install. To change back to either your own static DNS servers, or to have then dynamically assigned by, for example, your ISP or router, select the properties for the network connection you use to connect to the Internet and make the changes seen in the image.

Thanks Radaghast, exactly what I was looking for!
What is the advantage of using Comodo’s dns servers? I assume it adds security benefits but what exactly?
I’m in Canada so does this slow me down any?
I’ve been finding certain webpages taking a long time to load up, or not at all since installing Comodo. It’s not happening all the time but it’s been happening alot, but it might be only a coincidence - I just got a new pc and modem (and started using Comodo), so I might just need to get more familiar with my new setup.
And what should I put for my preferred and alternate DNS servers? If I leave that blank will it automatically be assigned by my router?
The easiest thng for me to do is link you to the home page for the service, which is:
As far as performance is concerned, they may or may not be better than those offered by your ISP or another DNS provider. At the end of the day, you’ll get a feel for how well, they work for you and at that point decide whether to keep using them, or not…

That may be a DNS issue, or it could be a set-up problem. The best thing to do is find an identifiable problem, then create a new thread with as much detail as possible.

Check your router settings to make sure it’s capable of acting as DNS server, if so, just set the DNS config to automatic on the PC.
