How to block torrent?

Hello,

I have a VPN server with Windows Server 2008 (R2) installed on it. Recently I got many warning from DCMA for illegal download.
All the downloads are with bittorent.
Is there anyway I can block torrent with or without Comodo Firewall?

I myself use CIS 5.2 and somehow I’m familiar with that. But I don’t know how I can use it to block torrent.
As you know, blocking some specific port is not a suitable decision cause it may block some other applications usnig that port.

Any help is appreciated. Thank you in advance.

CIS was never tested or designed for the Windows Server platform. So there is no guarantee that it will work always work as expected. Sometimes you may need to workaround things.

First question is are you running a bittorrent program on your server or home computer to download content? Are you the only person connecting through this server or are there other persons connecting through your VPN server?

Thank your for your attention.

1- No I’m not running any program on this server.
2- This is a vpn server which currently have many users. Many people all over the world connect to it. That’s the problem. And I don’t know what to do with their torrent downloading.

Is there anyway I can monitor whom using p2p protocol? So whenever I receive a DCMA warning , I can alert that user or ban him.

I’ll be so glad if you share any other solution you may know.
Thank you.

It is not possible with CIS to filter specific protocols. That is not a common function for a consumer firewalls. If you want to filter specific protocols you would need to turn to professional grade firewalls I’m afraid.
