How much time is needed...

…for the Comodo to detect the malware files?

I submitted some files more than a week ago with the AV of CIS (Antvirus > Submit Files) and
nothing happened. Files are still undetected. If I check these files, I submit again, CIS says;
“Already submitted”. Cloud enabled, AV updated.

See the picture and some VT results for example.

Hi vv5204,

We will check the files and if they confirm to be malware, detection will be added.

You can also use Comodo Antivirus Database | Submit Files for Malware Analysis for malware submission as it has a higher priority and files submitted through web form are placed on top of processing queue.

Ionel

Ionel,

I think that majority of CIS users submit possible malware files and false positives through application itself.
It’s faster and more convenient.
Don’t you think that this should have higher priority than web form?

Thanx.

I agree! :-TU

Please take a look at this Comodo and consider , a possivble revision of the way things are handled if possible, or even do a trial to see if it’s more productive?

Thank you for your answer!
I know the web form, but to send with the CIS in truth more comfortable.
I hope the internal file sender is working properly and the files will be analyzed.

I disagree. Give the web-interface the higher priority. Anyone can submit samples through the application, but they have to go out of their way to use the web interface. This makes it more likely the submitted samples are actually malicious.

Don’t get me wrong, I still think that most malware submitted over a week ago through the application should probably be detected, but I don’t think it should have priority over the web-interface.
