How do I uninstall and start over?... The reinstall remembered all the old rules

How do I uninstall and start over?.. The reinstall remembered all the old rules.

I used CCleaner and WinASO Registry Cleaner to remove everything Comodo from the registry. I then used RegEdit and found two more instances of keys with Comodo as part of their names but I could not delete them. Here are the two keys… HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_CMDAGENT\0000 DeviceDesc REG_SZ Comodo Application Agent and HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Enum\Root\LEGACY_INSPECT\0000 DeviceDesc REG_SZ Comodo Network Engine

I am currently in the uninstalled mode. I had uninstalled and reinstalled once before but the reinstall picked up all of the previous rules and I want to start fresh now that I understand which rule pop-up’s can be approved and which can be blocked. I feel I was approving too many after the first install and some were getting blocked due to the 120 second default time and I may not have been around so the pop-up’s disappeared before I could choose to apply them or not.

Thanks in advance. I did do a search of the forums and nothing popped up related to this topic.

Lenny,

You’re looking at Legacy keys there, and can’t delete them as you don’t have permissions. What you’ll need to do is navigate to each of those keys, right-click and select ‘Permissions.’ You’ll probably see that it’s set for Read only. Just set it to Full Control for your user profile in order to be able to delete.

Just FYI, if a connection attempt is blocked due to a slow response to the popup alert, it will not create a rule; the block will only be resident in memory for that session. Either restarting the application, or in some cases a reboot, will clear those temporary session rules out for you.
