How Do I Turn Off Server For Messenger

I have a friend , that has recently Installed Version 3.0 She would like to know how to turn off the server for messenger and skype and probably all of the other Programs that ask. Right now she is running it in the Default Setting.

She lives in another City, so I’ll have to relay any answers. BTW. I’m still using 2.4 so I’m not familiar with Version 3.0

Any responses will be Appreciated.

The question as you have phrased it is a bit hard to understand. If she wants to eliminate the warnings, she can adjust the mode of both the firewall and Defense+ to Training Mode, but that is only a temporary measure since that assumes that all the software on the computer is safe. For CFP to do its job properly, the security level should be set to the default level. If CFP is set back to its defaults after learning the software for a while, there will be a lot fewer warnings. To change the firewall, click Firewall>Advanced>Firewall Behavior Settings. On that page, move the slider to Training Mode and click Apply. For Defense+, click Defense+>Advanced>Defense+ Settings. On that page, move the slider to Training Mode and click Apply. This is a workable method, but it does not provide the security of applying rules that have been created to fit the application. Programs like Messenger and Skype have enough features that they introduce ways for hackers to access your system, particularly if unnecessary ports are left open.
