How do I stop Pending Files from saving for review all files during backup?

I would like to know if there’s a way to configure Defense+ such that I do not have a huge number of Pending Files after a backup. The Pending Files are all for the backup drive. I backup to an internal hard drive using XXClone, and I exit Comodo before the backup, along with everything else, to speed the process. Suggestions appreciated.
