Hello, comodo firewall just informed me its ready to update. The last time it did this though, i lost all my configuaration settings/blocked zones/ groups etc. So, could someone tell me if i can just, perhaps copy a few files over, bung 'em back in when the update’s done, then hip hip hoorah, everything’s exactly the same only updated? I know, its unlikely, but if theres a standard procedure or something, i’d be obliged if you’d point me in the right direction.
Cheers.
Greetings!
Open CFP 3, go to Miscellaneous → Manage My Configurations. Now in the newly opened window, click Export and then chosoe your current configuration (COMODO - Optimum Security) and save it anywhere (file extension won’t matter).
When you’ve installed the new version, go to the same place, but click Import instead. If it still uses the old configuration, click Select and choose COMODO - Network Security, then change back to COMODO - Optimum Security.
Cheers,
Ragwing
Thanks man. Will that save all of my blocked ips that i’ve added too?
It’ll save all you configurations (that’s stored in the registry), so the blocked IP’s should also be saved
