How do I avoid random apps being allowed automatically??

Right after installing CFP 3, I deleted all Application Rules and Global Rules, cause I want to make sure NO connections occur without me knowing.

However, if I go on the command prompt and do “telnet www.google.com 80”, it connects right away. And when I look in the firewall rules again, it magically created an entry for telnet.exe, allowing ALL traffic.

WTF?! Am I infected by malware, or what’s going wrong here?

Why did you do that? Why didn’t you just move the slider do custom level and then set the other slider to very high for alert frequencies.

I’ve put the sliders to custom policy and very alert frequency now. But still, even with an empty Application and Global rules list, telnetting to an external address still is allowed!?
