How can I clear the "Submitted Files" list?

Is there a way to clear the list of submitted files from Unrecognized Files > Submitted Files tab? The list is stored somewhere, so which file do I delete or registry entry as it’s not possible to do via the UI - why?

Go to CIS → defense+ → d+ events → more → File → clear

I’m talking about “Submitted Files” not log files.

it will clear everything; I had a big list and now it’s clear

Not for me. The list is still there.

So, where is this list stored?

In the database folder in the CIS program directory. The file is submit.n You might try backing up that file and then deleting it.

Now we’re talking. Thanks. Strange that the CIS interface doesn’t allow to clear this list.

Strange indeed, I have stopped submitting any files until this can be changed!

Hi,

As far as I understand the files are submitted to Comodo Labs for analysis. Files rated safe by the Lab are added to the whitelist, the others to the virus database. Then once the files are submitted, the user can’t remove them. Only the cloud will do that.

It pays to snoop thru these threads! I asked this question some time ago and nobody replied >:(

Couldn’t remove a file that had been automatically submitted and cleared weeks back ( Avast widgit ).

Changing submit.n to .oldn has done the trick. :-TU

Things you have to do… ;D

To clear the Submitted file list.

Search for this file submit.n
It’s here normally C:\Program Files\COMODO\COMODO Internet Security\database
Delete it and restart your CIS. ( or just restart your PC )
Then the Submitted file list is clear again.

To clear the Log list.

Open your CIS and open the Defense+ tab, press on the View Defense+ Events link.
( or you can just go via View Firewall Events link in the Firewall tab )
In the new window press on More… button.
Next window press on File, in the upper left corner and press Clear
Under Logs per Module, press on one of the Events and see if they are cleared.
And do the same under Other Logs, if these logs under here is not cleared, just press File and then Clear.

Then is ALL of the logs cleared again, every one of them, ready for a fresh start.

And THANKS for all your tips here and a Great Firewall. :-TU
