How about some expermental heuristic(beta) to play with

While comodo anti-virus is still in beta, have some expermental heuristic(beta versions) for us members to play with.

Why not fine tune our anti-virus while everything is still in beta

Hope I worded this right. What do you guys think :ilovecomodo:

There won’t be any more betas or RC’s for the current beta with heursistics. COMODO feels it is ready and as of right now, the final release is on Tuesday.

Correct me if I am wrong, but the current heuristics is only detecting packers at present?

Yes, but who knows when the CIMA-like heuristics will be ready for beta.

I guess I can safely say it’s kicking ■■■■ (:HUG)

example:
if I took an .exe file like notepad.exe and use a packer like UPX and put it together(In it’s simplest terms)r, Comodo won’t flag it just based on UPX only. <-------and thats a good thing

CIMA like heuristics will be available in march if Comodo can push it, along with the Memory Scanner that will have BOClean functionality. This is only first heuristics version, Comodo launched it and now things will be constantly improved on heuristics.

As Melih has said, the heuristics (as with any other heuristics) will never be finished, because it will always be improving.

Yes. Because thousands of new malware is out every day, And you need to keep up with this malware and hence Heuristics always need to be worked on to keep up with the latest malicious techniques.
