Heur.Suspicious Question

Comodo Internet Security - CIS AV False Positive/Negative Detection Reporting

I’m not into computers - Just use them so go easy on me.

Just ran a Comodo system scan and it has detected 01 threat which is as follows:

Location:
C:\System Volume Information_restore{F5D45DE9-9DFB-4667-B68E-B9A1908F2957}\RP193\A0039994.exe

Threat Name:
Heur.Suspicious@100738719

Don’t know what to do next? My computer appears to be working correctly. Do I Ignore, Disinfect or Quarantine?

This False Positive has been fixed. You can check with Virus Signature Database version 6292 and confirm it.

Thanks for your response but I don’t quite understand what you mean.

I guess a “False Positive” means that Comodo detected this as a threat when it isn’t and now you have done something to stop Comodo detecting this as a threat again?

Why would and how do you check with Virus Signature Database version 6292?

As what I’ve reported is a false positive I’ve clicked the “Ignore” button to close the antivirus scan results window. Was that the correct thing to do?

Yes, you are correct about the detection. Regarding the way to check, you can do it by scanning the file/folder again, even if it won’t detect it anyway now since you clicked “Ignore”. And yes, in this specific situation, this was the correct thing to do.
