i just found this named infection on my computer. i guarantined it, do this infection spread? comodo foundet it on c:\system volume information_restore… named place how do i proceed?
if it is system restore it is an old infection. it should be ok now. The infection is not active but if you would use system restore to jump back to that exact spot it could become infected. But now that it is in quarantine it will be fine, the infection is gone from that restore point.
You can open the access to the System Restore folders and remove the offending file if you want. Read this Microsoft knowledge base article on how to do so: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/309531.
