Resetting the winsock might also help: Start > Run > netsh winsock reset > reboot
Didn’t fix it.
It doesn’t seem to be the firewall. I disabled Comodo, kept it from starting up on start up, turned on windows firewall (no way I’m connecting without a firewall) and I still had the problem. It doesn’t seem to be Comodo firewall.
Not likely you’ll be able to correct the problem from your computer. (:WIN)
I forgot of you mentioned it but did you try disabling CFP and temporarily use Windows Firewall to see if it actually is something in CFP? Is your Mom up to answering alerts correctly?
