I want to configure the home lan so that the other machines cannot communicate with my pc. I want my pc to be as secure as possible and don’t want to risk an attack from another machine on the lan reaching mine.
Can someone help me out with how to do this as I have spent ages reading the help section but don’t really know how to do this.

If you want to isolate your PC from the other ones on your LAN, go to Firewall > Stealth Ports Wizard and choose “Block all incoming connections and make my ports stealth to everyone”.
Also disable :
the services related to netbios, UpnP and server. You’ll find an explanation on the services running on your computer on the Black Viper’s Website.
File and Printer Sharing on your computer ==>right clic on your nic > properties
Netbios on tcp/ip ==> right clic on your nic > properties > Internet protocol > properties > advanced > WINS
SMB ==>run > regedit > HKEY_LocalMachine\SYSTEM\Current Control Set\Services\NetBT\ > left clic on Parameters > right clic on TransportBind > modify > delete "\device" > reboot the PC
