Im sorry if i am posting this wrong, the board is very confusing to me.
Anyway, my COMODO Internet Security Premium updated itself today 7/6/2011 but now when i open IE9 I am getting a message that i have a Malcious Iterm has been detected’ : TrojWare.JS.TrojanClicker.Small.-AC@226879074 located C:\Users\RICHARD\AppData\Local\Windows\Temporary Internet Files\ConterntIE5\72R99X27\spac_adx[1].js
so I hit the CleanDisinfect and it says it has cleaned it but then the same msge window pops up again another 2 x before the message stops
and then every time I open IE9 up it comes back again !
Looking at the log thing Ask=Detect-Remove all say success
I cleared my Temp Internet Files but that didnt make any difference.
After virusdatabase update around 1hour ago the same thing started happening to me also. It keeps alerting about the browsers cache files everytime the browser uses them ( running in incognito mode wont give any alerts)
Try cleaning the cache of IE9 and see what happens. Also consider letting IE clean cache when closing; that will keep it more responsive.
If the alert keeps coming back upload that file to Virus Total to see what other scanners think about it. Please leave the url of the Virus Total report here.
Same here on both computers. One is running XP Pro 32 bit with IE 8 the other is running Windows 7 Home Premium with IE 9. Been doing this ever since yesterdays update. Getting fed up with it now as it does it every time i open IE or go to a different website. IE is set to clear cache and temp folder at shutdown but makes no difference at all. Might uninstall CIS and try someone elses AV and Firewall.
same problem here ie8 firefox5 same trojans (maybe FP?)
my wife was scared for 3 hours until I came back and did a small research and found this thread!!! poor thing
Comodo you are the best there is please do something about it
well, i guess im glad to know im maybe not the only one with this problem.
in the meantime following up from EricJH advice:
Try cleaning the cache of IE9 and see what happens. Also consider letting IE clean cache when closing; that will keep it more responsive.
I cleared cache and while it was doing that the same alert popped up… (IE is still functioning ok; its just the popup thing)
If the alert keeps coming back upload that file to Virus Total to see what other scanners think about it. Please leave the url of the Virus Total report here.
ok now im lost…where do i find the alert file ? is that like what burebista posted ? maybe its not…also i dont know how I find Virus Total either…sorry im a bit slow about these things
Hello, i got the same pop up alert from Comodo after updating Comodo and restarting.
The threat was named trojware.html.exploit.codebase.
The root path is alerted in the mozilla folder. I have never got a virus alert before.
What is this trojware.html.exploit.codebase, is this false positive? Does this get removed forever after clicking clean? Does this infect the computer, what can be done?
I have contacted Geekbuddy, and they have told me they have received a lot of messages about the same problems, and told they are investigating the problem. And said it was false positive. Could Comodo admins/employees please confirm these alerts are false positive(at this forum) after finishing the investigation?
Do we need to be worried, or is it a bug appeared after the previous release of the Comodo update?
Okey FP’s is a relief…the other two trojware mentioned in the other posts have also now started to pop up randomly for me…so the option is…use another browser ? altho some posts here were also having problems with firefox duh!
Comodo has always been great so hope you can help with a fix soon - thankyou!
Hello, at the page you have provided, the threat attack i have mentioned(trojware.html.exploit.codebase), has been said that the trojware.html.exploit.codebase threat is confirmed as a False Positive detections.
So, trojware.html.exploit.codebase is really false positive? So i dont have to worry about this(it is not a virus?)? And could you please explain what the reason was(why and how) for the detection of this trojware.html.exploit.codebase?
