I was looking for HELOCs (home equity lines of credit - I am lucky - I still have equity!), anyway, I found a yahoo sponsored website called UBSOL (Universal Business solutions)…offering “CDs” around 32.00% APY FOR 9 MONTHS!!!
Has anyone heard of this…why even invest in stocks? There has to be some huge catch to all this, especially when I can’t even access their financials.
And when will comodo go public? I would invest in it!
I callled the SEC (for those who don’t know, the US Securities and Exchange Commission). The company appears to be a pyramid scheme based on what the SEC told me and the website’s own disclaimer. Basically, since these types of “brokers” are not regulated under the SEC, it is the equivalent of giving your money to ANY individual solely based on trust.
“Hey, Gimme $10,000 and I’ll make you a guaranteed 3,200 in 9 months…even though I have no legal obligation to do so…”
Just a little public service, considering many desperate people who lost money in the stock market may be vulnerable.
When in doubt, call the SEC!
What`s that saying…?
IF IT LOOKS TO GOOD TO BE TRUE, IT PROBALY ISN`T
I had a look at there site tuther day and smelled a kipper…trouble is as soon as gold is mentioned peoples eyes light up 88)
