GUI bug in Modern theme[M2329]

It happens to me occasionally, it seems to be happening dynamically, and it seems to be a malfunction rather than a virus, that is, I miss the commands of “OK” and “Cancel” from the internal window of the “advanced settings”. I think it’s a malfunction and not a virus, since I run several anti-virus tools every day, and I do not point to any problems.
My s.o. it’s win 7 sp1, naturally updated with the latest windows update patches, every third-party pc program is updated regularly, I include the problem image and the Comodo-ISP log in the links below:

the Comodo Internet Security Premium log:

can you do something to remedy at the problem?

thanks guys and good work.

Hi, papatermi2014.

Could you please specify don’t you use any protection soft with CIS?
Please provide msonfo32.nfo, registry branch [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ComodoGroup\CIS] and display settings.

Steps to collect msinfo32.nfo:

  1. Go to Windows Run (Windows Key + R key in keyboard).
  2. Type in msinfo32.exe and press Enter key, it will launch System Information window application.
  3. Click ‘Save’ item in ‘File’ menu and save as .nfo file.

Steps to export [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\ComodoGroup\CIS] registry branch:

  1. Open regedit as administrator from Start menu.
  2. Open HKEY_CURRENT_USER - Software - ComodoGroup.
  3. Right click on the CIS and select ‘Export’.
  4. Save this branch in any folder.

Please add collected files to archive and sent to us.
Regarding display settings. Please specify if you use text size 100% or any value? You can check this via right click on the Desktop and select Personalize - Display, like on attached screenshot.

Thank you in advance.

Kind Regards,
Sergey.

Hi sergey.grechko, and thanks for help me.

1)i don’t use any other protection with cis, apart from peerblock (vers.1.1), but peerblock is not a software that works in the background, such as antivirus or firewoll;

2)my system information, as per your instructions, is linked to a 7zip archive at the following link:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1GJ21adqDIyNGViY243LUlwYmM/view?usp=sharing ;

3)regarding the registry key, always in a 7zip archive, you can download it from here:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1GJ21adqDIyd0dLRnQ1MWFrRlU/view?usp=sharing ;

4)while, last here, you can download the windows text size screenshot, in 7zip archive:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1GJ21adqDIySTZsVDRPNldqSGs/view?usp=sharing .

Greetings, and thank you again.

1: CIS version:
10.0.1.6294
2: OS version:
Win7 pro SP1 x64
3: What you did:
Open ‘Settings’ window.
4: What you actually saw:
Window with cropped right and bottom sides.
5: What you expected to happen or see:
Full settings window.
6: If possible attach a screenshot illustrating the GUI problem
Done.

Window is cropped as on pic.1 When find a hidden edge and try to move it (pic.2-3) - window is fully appears (pic.4).
It looks like CIS doesn’t remember resize of GUI and show it with minimal size.

Hi Xeno,

We are not able to reproduce your issue. It may be due to the Dual Graphics card issue.

To confirm that please share your msinfo32 file by searching msinfo32 in Run command window and save as msninfo32.nfo and send us back through Private Message.

Thanks in advance.

Kind Regards,
PremJK

There was no such problem with 8.4 version. It's your bug. (The security program should not depend on the type of graphics card.)

There is no ‘Attach’ button in PM to send msinfo file.
I can show you a little video to reproduce this bug step by step.

Yes it randomly happens when you resize the window bigger than the default size as was pointed out by another user here.

I’ve had it happen a few times and at other times half of the ok and cancel button where cut off partially.

(* Interesting … The bug was seen almost six months ago but no fix yet. *)

Merged topics for same issue.

CIS 10.0.2.6420
Bug is not fixed.

Thanks it has been submitted into the tracker.
