Google Desktop interfering with CFP 3?

Upon the latest upgrade to CFP 3 (.304) there were several issues that came up, mostly with some preset rules. Tried to find out what might have caused the problem and came upon a HijackThis log that looked kind of strange:
O20 - AppInit_DLLs: C:\WINDOWS\system32\guard32.dll C:\PROGRA~1\Google\GOOGLE~1\GOEC62~1.DLL

guard32.dll is a file used by Comodo if I’m not mistakin? Then what’s it doing together with google desktop in the same line even though I’ve uninstalled Google Desktop? This is kind of confusing to me, hope someone can clarify.

Also, if one happens to have a copy of HijackThis 2.0 handy without google desktop, how does the line that loads CFP 3 look in the log? Thanks!

Josh

josh, I’ve posted this a few times before about guard32.dll and rest assured it’s a CFP 3 file. I suspect it’s a Defense+ driver. As for why that google dll remains in your HJT log, maybe it’s not completely removed or you need to reboot.
