That is a good thing, and I am glad that Google is continuing to boost security on Android. However, this is only useful for the devices that get updated. The Nexus devices and select Google play edition smartphones should be good, but there are so many Android devices out there that have not been updated past Android 4.1. This is mostly the fault of vendors who persist in forking and heavily skinning devices.
