What if i dont trust microsoft 100% either :THNK
That’s a very good point, that is when a trade-off is made (Lots of compatible programs, or an OS you can trust) (:AGY)
Some sugestions for the list
No-install anti virus scanners:
Dr.Web CureIt! - http://www.freedrweb.com/cureit/
Online anti virus scanners :
CA Etrust Anti Virus Scanner - http://www.ca.com/us/securityadvisor/virusinfo/scan.aspx
F-Secure Online Scanner - Protect your digital moments | F-Secure
All 3 anti virus scanners can clean up the malware that they find.
Information scanners :
Runscanner beta - http://www.runscanner.net
… also mentioned here :

Thankyou for the contribution Rednose!!!
I will add the Dr Web, CA and F-Secure services/scanners. Since RunScanner is in beta it will not be added, though once it is out of beta it will be added immediately.
Rotty, because I would like to see my name a lot more in the list ( Just kidding ) I did a little search and this list of online scanners came up :

I must say I know a lot of these products by the name of the vendor, but I have only tested a few. I think some of them could be interesting

Spyware Doctor is available free as part of the Google Tools suite.Although some functions are disabled in this ‘SE’ version,it still offers a good degree of detection/protection beyond the standard free version.
Glad to see that Zsoft Uninstaller is finding favour,as far as free uninstaller utilities go I haven’t seen anything as good.
SpywareDoctor is horrible, and the one in the Google Pack is even worse.
@Rotty,

I don’t know what you mean by ‘horrible’,it does consume a fair amount of resources,so wouldn’t be great on systems with low RAM.However it fares near the top in various antispyware comparison tests,so it does do the job.Luckily there are alternatives to suit everyone out there, such as the terrific Comodo BOclean (:WIN)
Its terrible in da sense dat u r in trouble usin ur comp, meaning 3 more mins to load windows, 10 more sec to open ‘my computer’, 10 more sec to open browser.
I like A-Squared Free, which seems to find more than alot of other removal programs. I use it with AVG Anti-Spyware for initial scans of an infected computer. A-Squared finds trojans as well as malware, spyware, adware, etc. It can be downloaded here:
I usually run A-Squared in safe mode first, then follow with AVG-Anti-Spyware and alot of the others mentioned in this thread.
Autoruns is another great program that I use regularly to see which programs/processes are running & when they start. Stopping an unwanted program/process is easily done by clearing a checkbox & can be reversed. It is extremely helpful when something needs to be stopped for removal, or simply to optimize startup & performance. It can be found here ( along with a wealth of other useful tools like Rootkit Revealer, Process Explorer, etc. These tools used to belong to Sysinternals alone, but the developer now works for Microsoft. The tools are still awesome.):

actually not really neccessary
Autorunsda same functions can b found in AVG AS which u haf alr
Online scanner of individual files similar to Virus Total and Jotti.
http://www.virscan.org/
1, You can UPLOAD any files, but there is 10Mb limit per file.
2, VirSCAN supports Rar/Zip decompression, but it must be less than 10 files.
3, VirSCAN can scan compressed files with password ‘infected’ or ‘virus’.
If you’ve been hit by one of those fake AV/Antispy programs,a couple of good tools to remove them
Malware Destroyer -

Rogue Remover-
Thing I hate about AVG Antispyware is that it always detects my online banking website as a harmful cookie and I don’t know which it is or else I would set it to my ignore list.
It removes the cookies to the site, then when I relog in I have to go through a ■■■■ load of security steps because the bank doesn’t recognize my PC because of the cookie is no longer there.
Anyone back with Chase, and have the same issue?
You can set it to “Ignore once” at the end of the scan.
Spyware blaster 4.0 is out :BNC
http://www.pandasecurity.com/homeusers/solutions/activescan/? also works for me.
Cheers & Lucky Easter!
