Hi, I am trying to run Red Alert 1 game it seems Comodo doesen’t like it. Since Comodo doesn’t have a game mode I thought I would post on the forum for help. Its free and can be downloaded here http://www.red-alert.net/n3trunn3r/downloads/fullra+/RA+_Setup.rar I hope that there is a way to get it working, otherwise I find a different firewall solution.
Downloaded it! The files you need to allow are: ra95.dat and ra95.exe
To do so: Open CIS.
Click: Defence+ > Advanced > Computer Security Policy…
There you should see an entry for ra95.dat and ra95.exe… Select them (one at a time) and click edit > Use a predifined policy> Trusted application… And that should do it… Make sure you click APPLY…
If you play online or lan or something like that you might have to check the firewall rules: Firewall > advanced > Network security policy… I haven’t tested myself, but most likely ra95.dat and/or ra95.exe… will need Internet for that… (outgoing only) should be a good policy for those I suspect…
Yeah, full screen application detection is needed. Even if it would be deny only, then at least it wouldn’t lock up the PC while waiting for an answer from a user for an alert which he can’t see. 88)
