Full System Scan hangs up [RESOLVED]

I recently installed Comodo Anti-Virus and I’m having a problem. The full system scan hangs up. First. let me say that I have two different computers and both were running Avast Antivirus. I UNINSTALLED the Avast before installing Comodo on both machines.

On my laptop, the full scan worked perfectly. On my desktop, the full scan always hangs up in the same place.

Here is the folder:

c:/documents and settings/chris/local settings/temporary Internet files/content.ie5/NF9LXD5E
There are 15860 files that have been searched.
453 folders
7 compressed files.

I’ve tried to delete temporary internet files via IE but it still finds that folder. Has anyone else had this problem? Is it something with my machine?

I just thought about defragging the hard drive and trying it again. I will do that after this post.

Please let me know if I can provide any additional information.

Thanks,
Chris

Hi, cyurillo

Have you tried CCLeaner to clean up after IE plus many more Apps. the Sllim [English only] or basic Build are best because of [i]NO[i] Toolbar.

I ran CCleaner. Now the full scan runs completely.

Thanks for the help.

No problem, glad I could be of assistance, be sure to come back and visit the forums

I just installed the COMODO virus scan program and when I try to to either a full system scan or a normal virus scan I get the error: CavSn.exe - Fatal Application Exit

After this I click o.k. and the program ends. I have not been able to run any virus checks because of this, any ideas?

thanks…
