Does it hang with a particular file from mentioned folder? Is the scan successful in the end?
Hi,
During the time I was looking (10 min) it moved perhaps one file. But I did not wait to find out if it would finish. C’mon, 8 hours and not done yet. Only a stupid person would keep waiting :-X
Can’t replicate on my system though. Could you kindly provide a sample? Also, do you have “Use cloud while scanning” option enabled on scan profile?
Thank you.
I think cloud scan was active, it is now.
Sure I could send you a sample, but we’re talking about over 130k of small files here. That might contain private information. What I will do, is do a scan of that folder again and see where it gets stuck and we can take it from there =)
Hmm, perhaps that file(s) which was causing problems where gone now because the scan finished in seconds.
However, firefox was closed and when I tried to zip the files earlier, WinRAR complained about some files being used. So perhaps that’s where Comodo has issues too. I will try to replicate the issue.
update 1: no luck replicating, I’ll just get back on this when it happens again.
Thanks. Keep me up-to-date if anything changes.
So where back where we started. Scan has now run for 7 hours and 30 minutes. It scans about 3 files (1-25 KB in size) a second. There are about 139.000 files. Do the math because I’m bad at it :o in any case it should have completed long ago…so I’ve ended it.
Running a manual scan at the moment…
Ran for 2h 27min before I ended it.
Something is clearly wrong, let me know what you need from me.

Hi, I rather wait for stable. It’s no big deal to exclude that folder until then =)
Okay. I have checked with mentioned folder on my system and it takes around 5 minutes.
Are you running the beta?
Yes. I think I’ve tested with version 8.4 as well.
Don’t really matter. There’s nothing wrong on my end. I use other sites Yes. But that should not matter =)
Did you happen to have firefox running while performing the scan? It could be that firefox still had an open handle to the file object and hence the scanner could not access the file and instead of skipping it waits until it can access the file before moving on to the next.
Please check with Comodo Internet Security V10.0.0.6071 Beta thanks.
Hi,
seems to be resolved, keep up the good work. :-TU
