full protection?

Hi,

It seems quite odd that CCE finds stuff that CIS lets through the system. I thought that once a system was clean then CIS (at least in SAFE mode) would keep it that way. I had booting problems with Windows 7 even after running a CIS scan and a CSC scan. So I decided to run CCE again even though CIS has been running in SAFE mode ever since my last CCE scan. CCE picked up heaps of problems and sorted out my issues.
BUT HOW COME THIS ■■■■ IS GETTING PAST THE MUCH VAUNTED PROTECTION OF CIS ??

Why doesn’t CIS protect a clean system??

Looking forward to your response…

Without knowing what it found it is very hard to comment.

Since your stated intention is not one that fits a bug report I am moving this topic to the help boards.

Thanks.

Rootkits by the dozen. I thought that CIS stopped them from getting through. Clearly not a bug from your point of view (I guess) but I thought that Melih made some claims that CIS gave protection.

it could be false positives. can you post a screenshot of the antivirus events

What reports are you looking for? With luck they will be logged. Are you saying that CIS should have detected the rootkits and that the default settings let them slip through?

i just want to see what the AV caught so if you could click the Antivirus tab → view antivirus events and take a screen shot

That could be false positives indeed.
