Fred Morrison’s invention of the Frisbee has provided countless hours of enjoyment to millions of people over the years and will continue to do so.

He really didn’t invent anything. Tetley tea used to come in metal tins with flat metal snap on lids. I used to use those lids just like a frisbee in the mid to late '50’s and they worked every bit as well. That was long before the first frisbee was ever seen. Maybe I should get the credit or maybe the Tetley company should.

Killjoy…

Dch48- As I linked to in my earlier post concerning the original Frisbee

“William Frisbie opened the Frisbie Pie Company in 1871 in Bridgeport, Connecticut USA. Students from nearby universities discovered that the empty pie tins could be tossed and caught, providing endless hours of game and sport.”

Were simply remembering the man who was responsible for creating a safer and much more functional version of the original 1871 Frisbee and putting it in the hands of millions of people around the world and Fred Morrison should also be given credit for retaining the name of the original pie tin that started it all.

I don’t like Frisbees. Always lose them. 88)

Don’t call me a “killjoy” too, because I don’t see much “joy” in this particular occurrence. :o Unless he is going to the “nice afterlife”…maybe I shouldn’t continue. 88)

No one would play with me…

Well if the guy was 90 he had a good spin :a0
