Hi,

Thank you for reporting this.
We’ll check it and get back to you soon.

Kind Regards,
Erik M.

Why can’t the moderators create a topic for false positive reports for the Web Filter component? ???

Also, why can’t they create a topic for submit URLs to be blacklisted too? The webfilter has been implemented since CIS V7 was released and till this day nothing was done regarding this… :-TD

There is no way to report false positives for this Web Filter, it is also not updated regularly, it does not even tell that it is the Web Filter that is blocking acess to the pages, also it does not even have a Disregard button to acess the detected pages

I saw a lot of people uninstalling CIS because this Web Filter denied acess to some webpages and those people did not even know WHAT in CIS was blocking the acess to the pages… :-TD

There is people reporting Web Filter false positives even on the Comodo Secure DNS boards.

At the time the Web filter was created after extensive discussion it was decide a specific topic would bury posts, a individual post for each FP on this board would be better.

Please note you cannot post any malware links on the Forum, URL’s use this board Comodo WebInspector providing a link to the WebInspector search there.

I am afraid FP will happen with any system used WOT is a good example.

Still blocked!

If you guys did a “extensive discussion” then why is Chiron suggesting people to report false positives of the Web Filter in the Secure DNS Boards? See: https://forums.comodo.com/av-false-positivenegative-detection-reporting-b154.0/-t103829.0.html

And why the analyst meidan (or any other) have not replied back telling what happened? and why the problem was not solved after almost one month?

No offense but I think you guys should have a conversation with the analysts/staff about this web filter component and have a better organization or strategy in handling these False Positive reports. Sometimes it looks like the analysts cannot fix the false positives in the URL Filter database, don’t know why, maybe it’s because the Web Filter database is not even being updated regularly.

I think some problem is going on and the users should be informed about it, and while the problem is not solved then the users should disable the Web Filter.

I still think this is the best place as the webfilter downloads occur during the virus database downloads.

There is always the chance it could be a DNS problem a better warning would improve this.

The main problem is that false reports are not being acted on.

Sorry there is not much we can do about that.

Thank you

Dennis
