Found RAT The Prayer 1.2 in Comodo\Firewall\CPF.exe [Resolved]

I’m scanning my computer with TDS-3 and the program has found the RAT The Prayer 1.2 in Comodo\Firewall\CPF.exe.

I have done some research and this is a serious security threat.

Any advice as to what to do to get this malware off my computer (unless it’s a false-positive)?

Thanks

I’d suggest using a current scanning device that has updated signatures before jumping to any conclusions.
I would assume it’s a false positive otherwise.

I would also quite confidently ‘assume’ this is a false positive… and totally agree with ~cat~… to do some other “outside” scans from programs possibly like Super AntiSpyware and possibly Trojan Hunter to see if something comes up. (:KWL)

BTW…I’m curious, when was the last time you were able to update the TDS-3 “trojan reference files”(.trf)?? I only ask because the program has been discontinued for some time.

CPF.exe contains trojan?

In fact, I’ma paying user of SuperAntispyware, but that program did not detect the claimed trojan.

As to the TDS-3 updates, good point. It’s been discontinued by its creator and the database is quite old and not updatable.
