Firewall v.5 not auto-updating

When you did not get a notification of an update when using v5 that does not mean your installation is borked.

Until further notice the update to v6.2 has not been made available for the v5 users. If you want to stick with v5 then that is no problem. Even when using CIS (CFP with the AV) you still will get AV updates for quite a while…

No problem - I understand.

How can a user know for sure when the auto-updates are being pushed aside from standalone CFP update-available notification? Otherwise I will have to check back at a future time.

If you have Automatically scan for program updates enabled you should be notified.

In case of doubt:

Please keep in mind in all of this that with CFP/CIS v5 or v6 you are very much protected.

Yes, I have Automatically check for program updates & Enable Comodo Message Center checked. I will see if it finds anything tomorrow after I image my drive. When I manually check for updates all I get is “Your product is currently up-to-date”.

Otherwise, I presume http://download.comodo.com/cis/download/installs/2000/standalone/cfw_installer.exe would be what I need as I currently just use the Comodo Firewall (and have trusted it for several years). It would be nice if the installer.exe file-name contained the version number.

Once Comodo thinks the release is ready to be rolled out through the program updater you will be notified.

Unfortunately Comodo does not provide version numbers with the installers. I would like to see that changed....

I checked that link and it gives v6.2. Or use the link in the release topic as per my previous post. Or use the upgrade installer from the release topic.
