Firewall Network Security Policy: Many identical rules for SuperAdBlocker

Using Comodo V3, co-resident with Boclean 4.25, NOD32 V2.7 and SuperAdBlocker.

Browsing through rules in Firewall Network Security Policy, I find many repeated instances of identical rules (Allow IP Out From IP Any To IP Any Where Protocol Is Any) for C:.…\Temp\SAUPDATE.EXE.

Apparently, Comodo V3 adds a new identical rule every time I check updates. I’m not prompted to allow/block (Comodo 3 remembers the operation is allowed). Saupdate.exe is allowed both outbound and inbound. Update is successful if an update file is present, proper response if an update is not available.

In other words - both saupdate.exe and Comodo 3 appear to work properly, but an identical rule is added for each update request.

What can I do about this?

Thanks for your help!

This is a known problem. To fix it, click Firewall>Advanced>Network Security Policy and select and Remove every rule for that application. Reboot and start the application or invoke it by use. When you get the first pop-up “Allow” screen in the corner, click on the “Treat this application as…” selection and choose “Trusted Application” or another predefined policy, if another one is more appropriate. This should fix the problem.
