Firewall blocking TP-Link Print Server Utility

I have CIS 10.0.1.6258, on Windows 8.1 64 bit and it blocks the USB print server utility application for my TP-Link Archer C5 router. The router does not assign an IP address to the printer. If I disable the firewall the utility picks up my printer. I tried enabling the actual application by the application rule set but no go. Any ideas? The router has built in USB ports.

Is yours set up as mine?

Printer cable to USB on Router, then Print Server Utility run when the printer is turned on?

Using the Archer VR2600, all I had to do was download and install the Utility, turn on the Print Server function in the Router Control Settings and that was it. There’s no IP setting and no Firewall rule set

Yes same setup, but if I turn off just the firewall portion of CIS the utility sees the printer, if it is on the utility is blank.

To be honest, I have no idea on that! The Firewall should have no effect on the Printer at all . . it’s hard-wired to the Router

I would remove any particular Firewall rules, or set to default and try a re-install as above

Ok, i will try it.
