Firewall 7.0.317799.4142 + HIPS problem

Hello everyone,

I found a problem with the 7.0.317799.4142 release.

For my tests I’m still part of a “ghost” image of my Windows 8.1 update 1 x64 with many programs installed (including Avast and Malwarebytes).

  1. Comodo Firewall (only) enabled (safe mode)
    Sandboy disabled
    HIPS enabled (safe mode)

With this configuration, I have big problems when I want to do a “restart” or “shutdown”, the PC does not sometimes to turn off or reboot. The only solution is to use the button on the PC (hardware).
To boot, some programs do not run (eg Avast!) :embarassed:

  1. Comodo Firewall (only) enabled (safe mode)
    Sandboy disabled
    HIPS disabled

With this different configuration (ie only HIPS off), I do not have any problems for a “restart”, a “Shutdown” or launch programs to boot

I will stay with these settings, but I ask myself why I have these problems. I’d not had before the latest Microsoft updates.

Those are my comments. Excuse me for my bad English. 88)

Does the bug report submitted here describe the same issue which you are experiencing?

Thanks.

Yes, I have exactly the same problems and if I remove the HIPS function, I have no problems

In that case I will move this report to Resolved, as the issue has already been reported. SwissSteph, please do respond to the other bug report and reply that you are experiencing the same problem.

Thanks.

Ok … sorry to see this problem again ??? …
I put a message in the other subject

Thank you.
