I like Comodo’s firewall, and its virus checker seems to root out more virusses than the Avira one i just switched from.
But i’m having serious problems with Firefox:
1] Comodo is demanding i type … .com [etc.] or it announces that my page doesn’t exist. This is a royal PITA [Pain In The…].
2] Even worse, it destroys half my speed dial entries, substituting its own comodo search page url.
Unless i can fix these two problems i’m gonna have to uninstall Comodo.
Any ideas???
Everything works perfect for me right now. Maybe you chose the option of having the Comodo secure DNS function thingy?? I didn’t choose that option maybe if you disable it (I hope that is possible) then everything should be okay for you.

I read in Comodo’s Help file that enabling the secure DNS function requires going into XP’s Network Connections.
I definitely didn’t do that. [Hell, XP being XP, it’s such a #$%^ing maze i can’t even find it.] I simply installed Comodo making no special modifications [i just let it install].
I have a feeling i’m going to have a real short relationship with Comodo…
10 minutes after shooting off my mouth… I recalled seeing the Secure DNS checkbox, and checking it.
I still think XP is an incredible mess- i couldn’t deactivate the setting. And Comodo’s Help was singularly
unhelpful! A simple uncheck Secure DNS should be present in Comodo’s settings.
It turned out easier to just uninstall/reinstall Comodo. That worked. [Duh- that’s what i should’ve done
instead of whining in this forum. Oh well, hopefully these posts will help somebody else…]
Thanks for the help!
If you access the CIS help section from the GUI you can see the instructions for changing the DNS settings.
