COMODO should add an option so that all the files are scanned if the user wants too. And maybe you could also add certain settings so that the user can select what malware to scan for. For example scanning for rootkits only.
If you set the files size in the CAV options to a size that’s larger than the largest file in your system, all files will be scanned.

I completely agree. For example the user should be presented with the option of excluding possibly unwanted applications during the scan. Of course by default all types of malware should be preselected, but it would be very useful to have the choice.
