File Explorer crashes

Hello

I have a problem in 1 PC. After the instalation of CIS, when I try to go to File Explorer, it crashes and sometimes I get an empty screen and have to reboot. Working with other programs it’s OK.

I have read a topic here at the forum, about disabeling CTFMON and it helped to get better, but it still happens.

What should I do to solve this?

Thanks

Which program crashes? File Explorer?

Look under Defense + → Common Tasks → View Defense + Events and see if there are logs regarding File Explorer. Please post a screenshot of the logs.

Hello

Here are the logs of Defense+ and Anti-virus. The log of the Firewall is empty,

Thank You

You should also check your windows event viewer for any errors. To access the event viewer, simply run eventvwr.exe

Hope this helps

Cheers

Hi

I have unninstaled Winzip, but the problem still remains.
Any sugestions?

Thanks

Hi

Sorry for insisting, but there’s no more ideas??

Does the same thing happen when you disable D+? Go to Defense + → Advanced → Defense + Settings → untick “Deactivate the Defense + permanently requires a reboot” → reboot as requested.

Does this solve the problem or does it persist?

Hello

I’m sorry for the late response, but the option was already unticked.
Any more options??

Thanks

Do it again ! ! !

It is a bit like the carnival game “Whack a Mole”

On XP Home + SP3 I have found at least 3 different mechanisms by which CTFMON will resurrect itself.

Alan

First of all apologies I made a mistake in my previous post I should have said untick “Deactivate the Defense + permanently requires a reboot”

Please try this and report back whether that fixes it or not. I am asking this to see if there is a compatibility problem or not.

I will fix my previous post as well.
