Fatal Error 1603 when installing CIS for Win 8


I’ve upgraded my PC to Win 8 Pro.

Installation of CIS for Win 8 doesn’t work, always stops after some seconds with the message “fatal error 1603”.
Installation of Geek Buddy and Dragon with the same cispremium_installer_win8 works.
Installation of Firewall and/or Antivirus fails, no matter if installation of Geek Buddy and Dragon is activated or deactivated.

What might be the reason(s)? What can I do?

I would consider trying a fresh uninstall/reinstall, in between uninstalling and reinstalling run the unofficial Uninstaller Tool for Comodo Products in Windows Safe Mode if possible.
Note: I have not personally tried the uninstaller with Win 8 as I do not have it.
