False Positives

Okay, so the virus scanner found some virusses that I know are false positives:

heur.suspicious[at]71016999 in cpic32.exe - cpic32.exe is the installer for CompuPic, a picture viewer. It is also ancient; as in some 10 years old. No virus scanner before has picked this one up, and it’s never caused any virus activity, or spreading.

heur.suspicious[at]25519161 in winuae.exe - winuae.exe is an amiga emulator. No virus scanner detected it before, it’s never done anything suspicious.

heur.pck.shrinker in three files each part of the Movie Magic Screenwiter, all some 6 years old, never detected before.

UnclassifiedMalware[at]8296547 in grabber.exe - this is the only one I’m not sure about.

UnclassifiedMalware[at]5409908 in netDuke.exe - NetDuke.exe is a program that adds internet play Duke Nukem 3D. I trust the file and the ones that created and distribute it. This isn’t a virus. It also has been on my computer for close to a year and has never done anything.

If you feel they are false positives, submit them to Comodo Malware Analysis and they’ll fix them.

Moved it to the FP board.

Hi JGteMolder,

We are going to have a look at it and will get back to you after investigation.
