False positives - ocamlbrowser.exe, cpau.exe, x264.exe

Hi,

I’d like to report 3 false positives - at least I hope so - found on my pc.

Signature database version is 1149

  1. ocamlbrowser.exe
  • part of Objective Caml (I’m using still version 3.10)
  • OCaml Releases
  • detected as Unclassified Malware@8332680
  1. cpau.exe
  • Tool to run a program with other user privileges
  • CPAU
  • detected as Unclassified Malware@8293288
  1. x264.exe

Regards, Mike

Yeah I’d also like to know what the answer for x264.exe from Super is…I suspect a FP as well I have the file on a temp quarentine for now just to be sure.

But one of the video formats Super can convert is ( H.264/AVC ) I would guess the file is part of the video codec for this format.

Hi BigMike,

All Reported False Positives have been fixed.
Please confirm with our latest updates.
Program version: CIS 3.9 and DB version: 1160

Hi,

I can confirm with CIS 3.9, database version 1162, that none of the three files is detected.

Since you wrote me in a pm, that cpau.exe would be detected as “Application.Win32.Risktool.CPAU.~g” in future, I’m a bit surprised. Is it intended, that cpau.exe isn’t detected at all?
