Facebook doesn't load

Hello everyone,

I’m a new user and I cannot get Facebook to load correctly after installing Comodo version 3.5.55810.432 .

Has anyone had a similar problem? I would really appreciate some help troubleshooting the settings so that FB loads as it should.

I’ve attached a screenshot. My first theory is that Comodo is somehow blocking the loading of the CSS stylesheets. Another friend reported a similar problem with their (non-Comodo) web filtering software.

I can’t see the picture because it’s too small! you can upload it to a site like this;

Is there anything in your firewall events?
Comodo → Firewall → Events.

You can also try cleaning out your browser cache.

Thanks for the quick reply.

I use XP Pro, BTW.

I had already cleared out the browser temp files and cookies etc under the IE menu. I also use Opera and get the same defective page loads at the facebook.com domain.

The firewall events show a lot of blocking on “Windows Operating System” although I can’t tell what action was blocked.

Is there a way to tell Comodo that a certain website is “safe”?

Comodo should not block a site unless you specify it… It should work.

Do you use a P2p Client? could you please post me a picture of your blocked events.

I don’t use a p2p client, no. I haven’t set Comodo to block any sites, AFAIK.

I get some Java errors, but I’ve updated Java and made sure all the add-ons are enabled. Also cleared the Java cache, too. Facebook uses an atrocious array of Java and CSS scripts, and the problem seems to lie therein.

Another Facebook user told me he got the same screen as I do, and that he’d fixed it by tweaking his firewall.
